You are finally in Grade 8, it’s your turn to decide what step you want to take next on your journey! You may have been waiting for the opportunity to audition for Mayfield Dance since you were 8 years old or maybe you just learned about the Dance program this year and so are inspired to attend a high school where you get to take dance classes each and every day! Here you will find some things to consider as you prepare your application for the Mayfield Dance program!

When you send in your solo and improvisation videos, remind yourself how many wonderful dancers have come through our doors and followed their passion.

Carefully consider the expectations and Mission Statement of the Regional Arts Dance Program at Mayfield.

Here we learn about dance history, dance anatomy, career possibilities related to dance, and we explore innovative and unique ways of creating movement.  We use important and meaningful topics such as social justice issues and mental health to inspire creative movement pieces.  We use dance technique to discover how we can tell stories with our bodies.  In the Mayfield Dance program we discover the endless possibilities of dance!  Are you willing to dedicate yourself to what you love for the next four years, and see where it takes you?
